My blog began as a way to vent my frustrations surrounding our struggle with infertility. I am now ELATED that it has moved from an infertility to pregnancy blog and finally our baby blog! The scars of infertility will never fade completely, and truthfully I don't want them to. Infertility has impacted our lives in a way nothing else ever could, and I'm very grateful for all it has taught me. At some point we will probably be traveling down this road again in order to complete our family, but for now we are enjoying our amazing little guy! He's so much more perfect than we ever imagined he could be. I guess it's true what they say...good things DO come to those who wait! :o)

Dancin' His Little Heart Out

G is a big fan of the Mickey Mouse Club House on Disney Jr.  He especially loves dancing to all the music.  The Hot Dog Song at the end is his favorite.  He never ceases to disappoint with his spectacular moves, and tonight was definitely no exception!

Summer has officially started in our household.  I've been on break for over a week and it feels GLORIOUS!  G and I are having a lot of fun together.  Hopefully I can continue to find fun things for us to do all summer.  He's a little harder to entertain this summer than last.  Ha!  We've made a couple of trips to the zoo, purchased a new splash table and have had our first trip to the pool!  Unfortunately we haven't been able to spend a lot of time outside so far because it's done nothing but rain!  Don't get me wrong, the rain is definitely a good thing, but we've had A LOT of it in the last 2 months.  Here's hoping we get some quality outside time again soon!  Someone also got his summer hair cut the other day!  He looks like such a big boy now!

Zoo trip with Daddy!

We had an upclose and personal encounter with the lion!

ROAR!!!!!

A little Memorial Day cook-out fun!

Mommy...I'm all ready for the pool!  Make it stop raining!

Playin peek in mommy's closet on a rainy morning :-)

When peek in the closet gets old...we play with the bathroom door!

Hoop Star!

A while back we bought Griffin a basketball hoop.  It was mostly because we were tired of him throwing his toys behind our TV.  We were hoping that the hoop would give him something else to throw things at.  He was always too short to actually make a basket unless we'd pick him up, until recently :)  He doesn't use the ball that actually goes with the hoop, he uses smaller ones, but he can make baskets all on his own now and is getting pretty good at it!

I'm also going out on a limb and saying I think he's going to be a lefty.  For several months now he picks toys up and transfers them to his left hand before he throws it.  He will use both hands when eating, even when eating with one of his little forks, he will use both hands, but when it comes to throwing a ball, it's his left 100% of the time.

He has such a big personality.  It amazes me to watch him, and he cracks me up all the time.  He's frustrating too, gotta love the toddler phase, but wow, he is beyond entertaining!

Well, here comes the fun part...pictures and video!

Yea!  I fixed the link.  I don't know why Blogger and youtube were not cooperating a month ago, but it's all better now :)

One more...

Since I've been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad about posting lately (and I didn't want the last post to be any longer than it already was) here are two in the same night.  WHOA!!!

Just a few more pics and some videos of our goofy little guy!

Yikes!

Wow...I'm so terrible, it's been almost 3 months since I last posted!  Griffin is growing and changing so much and so fast I can't stand it!  I will say though, there are days when I would give ANYTHING for him to go back to the baby phase, not just because it meant he was staying smaller for a little longer, it means he wouldn't be throwing fits, having tantrums, and being an all around toddler.  ha!  To say the toddler phase is frustrating would be a bit of an understatement.  I miss my agreeable, sweet baby!

He is so funny though.  He's into absolutely EVERYTHING!  If a cabinet or drawer isn't locked, he's into it dragging it's contents out.  Our living room looks like a constant war zone of toys.  He never ceases to amaze me.  He's learning SO much every day and he's talking up a storm!  When I pick him up from the sitter in the afternoons, I ask him questions about his day, and he tries his absolute hardest to tell me what he did all day.  He will babble all the way home, and gets so excited about what he did all day.  He's getting very good at answering yes or no questions, and call me crazy, but I honestly think he understands what I'm asking, and answers appropriately.

I could go on and on about all the new stuff he's doing but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.  :)
